DOIMO: THE STORY OF A FAMILY AND A COMPANY
Doimo, located at Mosnigo di Moriago (Treviso), was founded by Giuseppe Doimo, a simple carpenter’s apprentice born of Treviso farmers, who finished his education at the age of ten and began to learn the carpenter’s trade. The story of Gruppo Doimo began in the second half of the 1940s (founded in 1948) when Giuseppe, later joined by his brothers Ettore and Fernando, opened his first artisan enterprise to produce mainly bedroom furniture.
In almost 70 years the Doimo’s business has constantly grown, acquiring new companies and new production facilities, but above all increasing its human resources, turnover and technologies, to take a leading position on the domestic market. In the 1990s the Group also began expanding into the most important world markets.
At the beginning of 2000 Giuseppe’s children took over management of the companies: in view of the new demands of a complex, dynamic market Laura, Olieve, Ivonis and Doris reviewed the governance of the Doimo and introduced highly qualified managers. The companies are now subject to the control and coordination of a holding, “Dodil srl”.
Doimo currently operates with cutting edge production technologies in specialised workshops where the quest for the best materials and technical-design solutions is continuous. In addition, the Group’s close cooperation with the best architects and contemporary furniture designers and its technical production know-how make it possible to produce with the best quality:price ratio.
The highly modern range provided by the companies in Doimo includes furniture for the living room (living room suites, sofas and complementary items) and bedrooms (bedroom suites, junior bedroom sets and wardrobes). The Group also has a special division dedicated to contract furniture and office and community decor, where skilled personnel are qualified to offer top quality customised services.
